Welcome to the first round of the OOTM – Outfit of the Month.
In this series, every member of the REWERS International team will be presenting an outfit that stood out to him or that he enjoyed the most. To make things a bit more interesting and balanced, we’re not going full freestyle (like we do in the Polish version); instead, there will always be a theme behind each selection.
Pitti Uomo is the most popular menswear fashion fair in the world, and we really wanted to offer our readers a taste of it. At the same time, it can feel pretty monotonous — but we think we’ve found a way to spice it up a little.
There is no better opportunity to show our favourite Pitti Uomo 108 outfits than a friendly competition - and we invite you to be the judge, giving the opportunity to vote for your favorite.
To inaugurate the series, we are going with not one, but two looks per person. And two polls, of course. Bringing in our best from last week’s trip!

For my time in Florence I wanted to check how I was going to feel in clothes that I don’t usually wear. Because of that, for one day I picked a polo shirt, cargo trousers, and a wool/linen jacket, and for another day, my lilac linen suit and a seersucker shirt. However, I have to say that my favourite outfit was the third - which was probably the most basic, but I learned a lot from it.

On our last Pitti day, I was sporting my favourite woolen trousers - I love the colour and resistance to creasing; a white jersey shirt for better comfort, and a light blue checked jacket. Suede brown tassel loafers complemented the look, and the main eye-catchers were vintage Matsuda glasses and a vintage Omega Seamaster Cosmic with a brown dial. The combination was very simple, but it was the only day I felt 100% myself, which left me thinking: why the hell am I trying to wear something that I’m not that fond of?
Of course, Pitti is the right answer, as it’s the place to test a lot of different styling options. Nevertheless, I understood that I feel best in very basic pieces like black or navy suits and grey or beige trousers. Small changes are visible through the shirts, since I love whites, blues, navies, blacks, plains, stripes, and western ones; and the main pop-up bling thing is probably the jewellery and the glasses. I love to accessorise my outfits, but for that I need a pretty simple foundation, and that’s the lesson I learned this summer.

Evening-wise, I felt much better in my lilac suit, actually. It was more my style because I didn’t change it since the morning, putting a single piece to maximum use, and I also paired it with a black linen western shirt from Life Revival. Underneath, just for the style (taking the temperature into consideration, it was a pretty stupid idea), I went with my white tank top from Scott Fraser, and that gave me a kind of tired playboy look. Lilac mixed with black was not so peacocky, and I much prefer it that way.

As we are right after Pitti Uomo 108 it wouldn’t feel right for me to choose something else than what I’ve been wearing in Florence… And as it turns out, both of the outfits selected for this months summary are from the same day! The second day of the fair was a busy one. Take a look what I decided to wear.

For the first part of the day I settled with one of my favorite combos, which consists of these wide leg cotton trousers I made for myself last year and a grey double breasted jacket in 4-ply wool (which is actually a part of a suit). I wear these two in numerous different fits, more and less formal and here is one of the latter. I’ve decided to go full eclectic with an old U2 T-shirt (the original gray color started to look kinda purplish, which in my opinion works nicely here under the mid grey jacket), a pair of Alden 3558 loafers in color 8 cordovan, pink Schostal knee socks and a The Real McCoy’s canvas belt. As the belt blends in nicely with the trousers, we don’t have a visible horizontal line that usually divides our silhouette, what all in all creates an interesting elongating effect. Moving on to the afternoon…

Creative black tie is getting more and more popular in recent years, here’s my take on it. Both jacket and trousers are made of linen, which seems only appropriate taking into account the weather conditions. I’ve decided to wear simple black Alden penny loafers (ref. 987, with no socks!) and a thin black belt. As I didn’t want to go to far, the shirt is an understated classic in white poplin. Finished with a slightly slouchy bow tie in black silk and colorful pocket square (wearing two shades of green may be problematic, but I kinda like how these two clash!).
I would like to take a moment to appreciate the sunglasses here! I’ve been wearing mine for the last couple of years and I’m actively looking for something new. Thanks to Suzan and people at Banton Frameworks I’ve had an opportunity to try on some of their products and I’m amazed! One of the pairs I’ve worn are these pictured above. I’ve never worn something bold like this before and I must say it feels great. And take a look how different they appear depending on the outfit! I love the design and the level of finishing is second to none. If you would like to see another pair I’ve tried on and worn (which actually made an even better impression than these!) check out my Instagram profile right here.

The choice was tough. You know I wouldn’t be packing any mediocre outfits for such an occasion, right?! I was happy with basically everything I wore, but in the end, the outfits that made it here are the ones that brought me the most joy, not necessarily the ones that got photographed the most.

First day of the Pitti, first proper outing of this jacket - a part of the MTM suit I commissioned last year, but picked up only in autumn, so it had to wait a few months before I could wear it. Firenze felt like a perfect place to rock pearl linen, even despite the rain that marked the first half of Monday!
As for me, it was a very minimalist outfit. No scarf, no baseball cap, not even a tie or a pocket square. Just a pair of vintage OG107 fatigues and white crinkled cotton popover that had just enough contrast to make two shades of white work together. At the bottom, a pair of well-worn brown suede tassel loafers (that looked even worse after the rain) and a canvas tote that I was carrying my bottle of water around in.

The evening set I chose is from the day after - Wednesday - but it uses the same jacket once again, in a different setting. It fits into this “creative black tie” idea, reinterpreting what it takes to make a proper, elegant, evening set. In this case, you could call it “cowboy black tie”, perhaps - but it’s not a Canadian Tuxedo, no - even though I’m not that much into western style, I like to play around!
The jacket is off-white, as a tropical dinner jacket would be… but it’s linen. The shirt is a western one (vintage 60s Lee), with pearl snap buttons acting as studs and a long point collar proving perfect for supporting a bow tie… but when the jacket is open, you notice hand-embroidered flowers and chest pockets. The trousers are black and cut from wool, but they have belt loops… so I said “fuck it” and went full-on cowboy with a hair-on-hide cow belt instead of braces and cummerbund. On my feet there were velvet slippers, but worn without socks for the hot Italian night.

At this Pitti, I wore more elegant looks than I usually do. As I mentioned in a previous article, I packed a couple of different options because I wasn’t sure how I’d feel each day, but it turned out I was really in the mood to dress up more than usual. I really liked everything I wore, and I even considered picking a suit as my favorite daily outfit, but in the end, I decided to go with what feels more like myself.

I like everything about this outfit: the midnight Soleil Camp Collar Shirt from the Decorum Continuum collection by Kamoshita (great texture and very breathable), worn over a Merz B. Schwanen ribbed tank top and paired with pearl linen trousers from Poszetka. The color of the trousers is warm enough to create visible contrast with the white tank top, so it doesn’t look like I’m wearing a one-piece under the shirt. The off-white croco leather belt adds even more separation, but in a very subtle way.
I also carried an off-white croco leather pouch from Sartolane that matches the belt. To balance out the outfit, I wore dark brown suede tassel loafers from Myrqvist. The final touches are the Banton Frameworks Mòr F glasses with a very nice orange tint, and the Serica Parade watch with a brass dial. I think everything in this outfit is very well balanced, and if you pay attention, it also includes a lot of interesting elements with beautiful details.
For the evening looks, there’s no doubt which one I like the most… Even though I really like my new cream MTM suit and how I wore it with a brown tie to the W.M. Brown party, the look with my new striped summer suit is my favorite from this Pitti.

I wore the striped suit with a white OCBD shirt and a navy tie. It’s kind of a very basic formal look, but I think the fit is amazing, and it works so well in this fabric - it drapes beautifully and creates a very dramatic silhouette. The simple navy gabardine tie adds another layer to the outfit, but it lets the suit shine. The footwear choice for this outfit was, once again, dark brown tassel loafers because they work really well with this suit. And once again, the orange-tinted glasses add another layer of drama to the whole look, this time they’re the Linea G from Banton Frameworks. I really love everything about it and can’t wait to wear it again!
Great outfits fellas, It was a hard pick.
Definitely Kamil’s day outfit and Suzans evening outfit were my pick.
Sorry Kamil I’ve clicked to fast in the first one and picked Suzans but count the one vote for yourself.
What I like about Kamil’s pick is that it blends perfectly with the theme of Firenze for me, and it’s something I would most certainly wear, just maybe the Jacket would land in my hand from time to time while struggling with the sun.
On the other hand Suzans night or evening outfit is something that definitely I would pick for myself, it’s simple and effective and that for me is the best way to encapsulate the pure elegance without much effort.
Anyway every outfit that you’ve shown gives many different ideas for myself which I thank you guys.
Take care!
